I'll overwhelm 'credible fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua
The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-round fight which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.
Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the pair came face-to-face to publicize the upcoming bout.
Ex two time world title holder Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive disparity - at Miami venue on December 19th.
Fighter's Attitude
"I'm going to break his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm superior," Joshua, 35, declared.
"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I will genuinely try to hurt him. That's my goal."
Civil Exchange
In spite of these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally famous for his dramatics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul rather criticized ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and called him "ridiculous" after Ngannou turned down a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, at the same time, targeted British opponent Fury - and declined a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer commented.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.
Paul's History
Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since becoming pro.
He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
However, the novice continues to be one of the sport's largest money-making draws, frequently receiving massive paydays.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would derail the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently being planned for two years from now.
"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Paul said.
Physical Disparity
As both boxers met for the usual confrontation, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it drove home just how improbable this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the match is really proceeding.
